Gluten Free Basil Pesto Braid

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Wholly Gluten Free 9” Pie Shell
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil or Avocado Oil
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Fresh Basil
  • 1-3 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 8 oz provolone cheese thinly sliced
  • 8 plum tomatoes thinly sliced lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Freshly Ground Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°
  • Prebake pie shell according to package directions until golden.
  • In a small saucepan, cook oil, basil and garlic until heated. Cover and keep
    warm.
  • When crust is done, cover with half the provolone, then half the tomatoes. Sprinkle with 2 TB of Parmesan cheese.
  • Repeat layers, topping with basil mixture and pepper.
  • Bake 375° for 15-18 minutes until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 minutes.
